Virgin or Whore?

As I browse through Facebook, I see things that make me sad.

Fellow believers, please allow me to speak to you.

We who call ourselves “christians” should be actively preparing for the return of Jesus Christ (who is our Lord and Savior.)

It is past time to start calling sin, “sin” again. We need to be boldly driving sin from our lives, and after that, we need to be lovingly driving sin from the Body of Christ.

When sin is revealed in our own lives, we need to be willing to repent. “Stop judging me” and “You are a hypocrite” should not be a part of our vocabulary. The death of sin, means freedom and life for us. Revealed scripture is for our benefit, and the believer should never reject it and quench the Spirit’s attempt to deliver us.

When we see others caught in the bondage of sin, we should lovingly seek to restore our broken brethren. Our intention should be to see people free and not to condemn them. “There is a special place in hell…” should not be a part of our vocabulary, and we should never try to make people conform to our personal preferences (Scripture is the baseline of truth for all of us.)

We should never be willing to see our brothers slaves to sin.
We should never approve of sin when God Himself has said it was wrong.
Our lives should never so lax that we cause others to reject Jesus.
Grace and Mercy was given to keep us free from sin, and not as a right to be “free” to sin.

Jesus is coming for His Bride, so we christians should not present ourselves to Him as used-up whore. We must keep oil in our lamps so that we will be there when He arrives.

Ephesians 5:1-4 – Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

Galatians 6:1-3 – Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

1 Timothy 6:1 – Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.

Matthew 25:1-13 – “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
