The One Thing I Hate!!!

Today I am going to preach to myself…

I hate sin!
I hate what it does to people!
I hate what it does to families!
I hate what it does to churches!
I hate how it enslaves people in it!
I hate what it is doing to the country!

I will call sin, “sin” at every chance I get!
I will expose sin, every chance I get!
I will try to free people from sin, every chance I get!
I will proclaim Jesus’ Gospel to sinners, every chance I get!
I will renounce sin in the camp, every chance I get!

I love people, and that includes those who are in sin.
I do not judge people to hell for their sin, because I know that without Jesus’ Gospel, we are all headed to hell anyway.
If a person calls themselves a christian, I expect repentance and renouncing of sin from them.
I will choose to have no dealings with a “fellow believer” who believes that they are allowed to sin and who refuses to repent of a known sin.
I will have fellowship with all “fellow believers” who have different personal preference than me, without trying to manipulate them to become like me by calling their preferences sin.
I will have fellowship with those who believe that God’s Word is true, and conform their ways to God’s Ways.
I will choose to step away from those who call themselves believers, but who refuse to believe in the Word of God.

All those who repent from a sin, are my brothers.
All those who renounce sin are my brothers.
All those who base sin and righteousness on the truth of God’s Word are my brothers.

John 8:1-11
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

What I see here is Jesus telling a woman caught in sin, to sin no more…
What I see here is unbelievers exposing a person in sin and judging her, without helping her by making any attempts to free her from that sin…
What I see here is a double standard by those not wanting to be exposed, exposing another…
What I see here is true love, because it takes the focus off of sin and puts the focus on the One who delivers us from that sin.

To maintain love, I must always focus on Jesus’ Love to me.
To maintain love, I must always focus on His goodness.
To maintain love, I must never look at the sins of another.
To maintain love, I must drive sin away from me.

To show love, I can never forget what Jesus has done to free me.
To show love, I must extend the same forgiveness to others.
To show love, I must always keep my fingers off of others, and point them to Christ.
