Does your life seem unbalanced and out of control?
When it rains, does it pour?
Or, when the sun is out, do you get burned?

I have seen many people use quotes of scripture when life is good, then quote sayings that are unscriptural (but make them feel comfortable in the circumstances that they are in) when life is bad.

I have seen others do the exact opposite (use scripture when life is bad so that God will help them, and quote the unscriptural when life is good because “there is a party going on”).

Balance is to be had in the truth of scripture, and when you try to mix it with the lies of the world, you end up with chaos.

When hot air is mixed with cold air, you have a storm.

Your direction is made clear in the light, and Jesus (the Word made flesh) is the light.

2 Corinthians 6:14 – Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

Luke 11:35 – Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.

John 8:12 – Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 12:46 – I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
