I Like My Peace… Part 2

Here it is 1:24 in the morning, and I am unable to sleep.

Been a lot on my mind… Mostly questioning myself… Repenting… Seeking God’s help…

If there is one thing I know, I cannot doubt God. He is so faithful to me, patient with me, loving towards me and kind to me.

If there is another thing I know, it is that I am the wishy washy one. I am the one that looses sight. If there is any blame to be made, it is my fault.

Despite myself, Jesus is my one hope of having true joy and peace.

I could never ask, “Lord, why did You put me here?” If I am in a bad place, it is because I am the one who needed to be delivered, and it is not because God got lost somewhere or figured it was time to torture me.

My only desire is to please my Lord, and I just want to make sure I am where He wants me to be… Not a bad thing to ask…

So I got out of bed, came into my office, prayed and went to His Word…

Romans 3:21-31
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not onlythat, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

We all mess up and have to suffer for our mistakes, but God’s grace through Jesus paid the price for those mistakes. The difference is, “are we willing to repent and seek and submit to, the Holy Spirit’s guidance?”

No we are not saved by works, but we prove our love through our actions. We are not perfect on our own, but Jesus love will make us perfect if we allow it to. Jesus didn’t come to allow us to live slaves to sin, but that we would be free to not sin.

Through all that, we have an enemy called Satan. His hatred for the Father causes him to attack God’s children. That means that there will be times that I hurt for no reason other than I am living on this earth, and am stuck in this body of flesh.

So am I where I need to be? Because of my faith in God’s Grace, I must say, “yes!”

Do I have a long way to go? Because I am still here, You bet I do!

Am I going to make it through? Because God is faithful, “Amen!”

Am I at peace? Because I believe in Christ and am at peace with Him, I cry out, “hallelujah!”

Nothing that happens can take my faith away, but as I repent and submit to the Lord, I will grow stronger in the Faith and rest in the Hope of Jesus my Lord.

Father God, thank You for sharing Your love with me…

Jesus, thank You for shedding Your blood for me…

Holy Spirit, thank You for showing Hope to me…

I am going to go to bed now!
