It Is Time To Call Sin, “Sin” Again

The church was not set up to make the unsaved comfortable in their sin, but to draw people to repent of that sin while turning them towards Jesus.

Mary told me just now that the Holy Spirit asked her, “How many people will spend eternity in hell because you were afraid of offending them?”

Christians have allowed the devil to lie to them, by believing that if someone is offended by our speaking of the truth or use of scripture, then we must not be walking in love.

I am going to be offensive by sharing a scripture concerning that… John 8:32 says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

We have allowed ourselves to suppress the truth so that we will be told by the unbelieving, that we are walking in love. I find it interesting that a person in sin tries to define love, when they themselves have no idea what true love is. It is we who are born again that know what true love is because Romans 5:5 tells us, “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

The Body of Christ has been commanded by God to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15).” This very Gospel must never be watered down, so that it will be more palatable or so that we will keep friends. To do this to the Word is selfish and evil.

This thinking has allowed the doctrines of devils to take root in our churches, and now we are faced with doctrinal debates that should never be. We have people amongst us claiming to be “christians” who hold on to the most vile of sins, refusing to repent, throwing out scripture, and redefining who God is. The church sits by while these wolves are doing damage to the Kingdom of God.

If Jesus is coming for a spotless bride, then why do we think it is acceptable to make our bed with the doctrines of devils?

The Gospel of Jesus cannot be applied unless there is repentance as stated in the Gospel of Mark starting with 1:15, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Yes we must allow each to grow in the Lord, but we must also expose sin in the camp. When sin is exposed, repentance can not allowed to be an option. I am going to make a statement that will offend, but it is the truth…

You are born again by believing in Jesus and making Him Lord. Jesus is the Word made flesh, and the Word exposes sin and gives instruction. When you are faced with the truth of the Word, you must align yourself with it and repent. If you repent, you denounce the lie, but if you don’t repent you denounce scripture. When you denounce scripture, you are denouncing Jesus. You denounce Jesus, you are not saved.

Jesus told the religious in John 8:44, “ You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

God is quite clear about those who call themselves christians but refuse to repent in 1 John 1:6 – If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

You denounce scripture, you are denouncing Jesus. You denounce Jesus, you are not saved.

It is common knowledge that the term “christian” means to be Christ Like, but I prefer to be called a “Believer” because I believe the truth of the Word of God. If a person calls themselves christ like but doesn’t believe the truth of God’s Word, then they are more Anti-Christ than they are Christian.

Am I perfect? No, but I am made perfect by Christ because I repented.
Do I sin? Yes, but I am forgiven because I repented and verbally renounced that sin, while exclaiming the grace of Jesus.
Am I a hypocrite or not being real? No, because when I renounced sin and repented, I allowed God to change me into who He wants me to be, and His definition of what’s “real” is greater than my own.

It is time for the Church to step up and call sin, “sin” again.

People are lost in sin, and we are keeping them there through our own desires to be other than what God has called us to be. It is time to eat, sleep, breath and live boldly the truth of God’s Word. It is time to preach the truth so that people will be saved. It is time to kick the devil out of our churches, and open a can on the gates of hell.

Love tells the truth, even when it is unpopular. We have gotten too lax in telling the truth, because we don’t want to be out of love. Satan has tricked us into believing that acceptance is love, and truth is hatred.

Just because we back up what we say with scripture, it doesn’t by default mean that we are beating people over the head with the Bible. It doesn’t mean we are out of love when we call out sin and are bold with the Gospel.

If the Church is truly “Christ Like”, then are we willing to be hated? Are we willing to be persecuted? Do we have the resolve to die for our faith? Or are we just wanting to be pat on the back by the enemies of the light of the Gospel?

I have had people unfriend me on Facebook, because I speak the truth. I know without doubt that I do not hate the sinner, and I know without a doubt that I want to see the sinner free. I love the sinner, but I will not compromise the truth or redefine it, so that I will feel good while that sinner (that Jesus died for) goes to hell. I genuinely want to see people repent and turn to Christ. If I said nothing, and they went to hell, I could never honestly claim to love them.

The church needs to arise and be bold with the truth of the Gospel. We are running short on time, and we need to be about the Master’s business. It is time to clean house, because our Love will be home soon.

Father, Thank You for Your Truth, it is the standard that defines what Love is and it guides us. Your Word is the ultimate Love Letter!

Jesus, Thank You for Your Love, it is the action that draws us to repentance. I renounce sin, and I proclaim You to the Nations!

Holy Spirit, Thank You for Your Patience, It helps us to turn from evil and to grow in the ways of God. I resolve to follow You anywhere!
