Why I do what I do…

We are born into sin, but we as individuals make the choice to commit sin.
To speak ill of sin, is not to speak ill of the sinner, but to lead them away from sin.
Sin leads to death, and the condoning of sin, is the act of a murderer.
Sin leads to death, and the exposing of sin, is the act of a lifesaver.
True hate will allow death to come a person, while securing it’s own life.
True love will bring life to a person, even at the loss of it’s own life.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I am required to speak against sin to the whole world.
I am called by God to preach His Word, and not mine.
I am not called to preach to please you, but to see you free.
I must preach Christ only, and I answer to Christ alone.

2 Timothy 4:1-3
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

2 Corinthians 4:5
For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

1 Corinthians 9:16
For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

I do not preach for your friendship, but for the relationship that I have with Jesus.

John 15:18-21
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.

I am compelled to preach God’s Word, because I love you.
I preach against sin because I love you, and I want you free.

Acts 26:20
… I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.

I fully understand that Jesus holds me accountable to preach against sin.

Matthew 18:6
“If anyone causes one of these little ones (those who believe in me) to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Mark 9:42
“If anyone causes one of these little ones (those who believe in me) to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

Luke 17:2
It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Jesus came to save you from sin, and it is God’s Gift to you.
Jesus came to save you from sin, and it is because He wants you to be free.
Jesus came to save you from sin, and it is because He saw something in you from the beginning.

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…

Romans 6:1-3
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

2 Timothy 1:9
He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

My words may fail, but God’s Words are pure perfection; without flaw.
My words, are made perfect by God’s Word.
My words bring fourth God’s Purpose.

Isaiah 55:10-12
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Jesus is coming back soon, and we must be ready.
Jesus is coming back soon, and we need to clean house.
Jesus is coming back soon, and we can’t afford to be wasteful of the time we have.

Acts 13:24
Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel.

While against sin, I know that we fall at times.

1 John 2:1
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

I preach against sin, even though I myself fall.

1 Timothy 1:15
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst.

Jesus doesn’t cause us to sin to teach us not to sin.
Jesus is patient with us, as we grow in Him.

James 1:13
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;

1 Timothy 1:16
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

It is time to repent from sin
It is time to expose sin
It is time to refuse to tolerate sin

Jesus is coming back for a spotless church.
