God Alone is Holy

This morning as I was reading Revelation 15 I saw starting with verse 3 concerning those who had victory over the mark of the beast,

“They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb:

“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.””

What stuck out to me was the term, “For You are alone Holy… Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

I felt in my spirit, that whenever we try to replace the Holiness of God, with the “holiness” of men we call God “unholy”.

The Holiness of God is revealed in His Word and proven by His actions everyday.

Adam and Eve fell because they substituted God’s Holiness with their own, and people are still falling for the very same thing to this day.

We are deceived when we refuse to focus on the Holiness of God, we are led astray when we allow ourselves to be deceived, and we are killed by the deceiver when we allow ourselves to be led astray by him.

Have you taken the time to remind yourself that God is the only one who is Holy? Have You taken the time to proclaim God’s Holiness today? Have you thanked God lately?

Praising God does a couple things for us:
1) It builds or faith
2) It restores our soul
3) It ushers us into God’s presence
4) It heals us
5) It reduces the problem, and causes us to focus on the Problem Solver

In essence, acknowledging God’s Holiness, brings life to us.

I urge you to take the time to worship God today.
