Confessions

I have a confession to make. In my mind, I have done some horrid things. Oh sure they have never made it to my actions, but my dwelling on them has proven to myself, that I am far from perfect.

Scripture tells us that when we look and lust, we have done it. We are told that to lie is to be a thief, and to hate is to be a murder. We are even told that to not forgive others is the same as hating God, and to rebel is to practice witchcraft.

Because of this, I made a choice when confessing my sins to others, to sometimes include these thoughts as if I had actually done it. My one prayer for most everything, is that the Lord will expose the lies, so that the truth is revealed. When I confess my innermost thoughts, I am exposing all of the lies that Satan has tried to tempt me with.

You may ask me, “doesn’t this make others see ill of you?”, and my answer would be, “yes.”

I have had my share of false accusations and been told that there is a special place in hell for me, but it doesn’t matter. I know that I stand clean before Jesus, because His blood has washed me clean. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, despite all of my shortcomings.

To confess your sins, is the first step to repentance. If you can’t go to a person and say, “I’m sorry”, then you will never be forgiven for what you have done wrong. You will find yourself stuck in that place for the rest of your life, until you make the choice to repent and move on.

It is a sad place to be when you are unable to repent because of selfish pride. Those things either great or small will cause you more pain than you can imagine, and that is the last thing that the Lord wants for us.

God is all about restored relationships. He wants you to talk to, walk with, and become one with Him. Don’t let anything hinder you from enjoying the most satisfying relationship ever offered to you.

So while I might have been a lying, cheating, murderous, hound dog… I am sorry, and I want us to be forgiven.
