Thanking God For You

I have learned that online friends and followers are only so for what I can give them. When I stop producing “entertaining-friendship” they drop me, the online world’s thought is “what can people do for me.”

I want real friends and family, where we are there for each other. These one-sided “relationships” are so not worth it.

As I ponder my mom’s carnal death, there is a temptation to feel sorry “for my loss”, but honestly I can’t help rejoicing that my mom has gotten a major spiritual life upgrade in the presence of Jesus.

While mom was seeking The Lord for her health, she stayed away from Social Media, and she expressed frustration for those “online friends” who un-friended her because she wasn’t online for them.

She wanted people who would stand and pray with her. She wanted people who would share in the goodness of God with her. I am glad to have been able to do those things with her.

I am grateful for those who gave of themselves to help her in time of need. Those who were there to comfort her asking nothing in return from her.

You are the people I want in my life. For as we seek to serve each other, we fulfill The Lord’s highest calling.

I praise God for you…
