Common Sense Priorities

I see more people giving better commitments to their dog, than they offer to their fellow human being. They excuse it by saying that their dogs never hurt them like people do…

Well that’s not a selfish attitude, is it? Only help those who can help you in return.

I seem to remember Jesus saying to help those who cannot repay you, and I doubt He meant your dog when He said, “When you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me…”

We as people cannot ignore the blind crippled homeless person on the side of the road, while taking home a diseased mangy mutt and waste your paycheck on the vet.

I will add that God Himself said that He will take care of the birds of the air and the beasts of the field, and He directly told us to take care of our fellow human beings.

It is like we have the audacity to tell God, “I don’t think that you can handle the birds and beasts, so I will do it” all the while neglecting what He told us to do.

Without faith (believing what He said enough to act on His Words and obey Him) it is impossible to please Him.
