Plugs, Explosions, and God’s Provisions

This morning, as I sit and reflect on yesterday, I am compelled to give thanks to my Savior Jesus.

It seems that the demon assigned to torment me, has this thing for flat tires. It is like he carries an ice pick and is constantly stabbing the tires on my cars, law mowers, utility carts, trailers and wagons.

Our truck has had this slow leak that refuses to be plugged. I was hoping to make it till today to go and get a new tire put on, but yesterday as we went down the road (less than 5 miles after redoing the plug… again) “BOOM” it exploded.

It didn’t need to explode, and frankly the plug should have worked… and if it could have been patched, I would have done that, but nooooooo it had to explode.

You might ask why I wasn’t riding on the full size spare? Well for some reason, the people who traded in the truck felt it necessary to strip off everything that wasn’t bolted onto the truck. The jack, tire iron, and the spare tire lowering rod was part of what was stripped, and the dealership didn’t put a new set back on before selling us the truck.

So here I am on the side of the highway, thanking God that I had put my floor jack and Lug “T” in my toolbox, but no idea how to lower the spare. I also am protective of the still leaking sores on my legs and was not looking forward to laying on the ground.

Mary prays, “Lord, we need some help.”

All of a sudden, this bright blue pickup pulls next to me, this guy jumps out with a compressor and impact, throws the tire into his truck, brings me to Walmart (on a Sunday), gets me there 10 min before they close for the evening, waits for them to put a new tire on the rim, drives me back to the truck, puts on my new tire, and basically drives off.

We get in the truck and drive off in awe of what God just did for us…

Today, I need to go get matching tires for the new one we put on yesterday, but I know that God has this covered as well. The money will be there, and it won’t slow us down on paying to build our cabin (like that tire popping devil tried to tells us it would.)

I serve a faithful and awesome good God. That lying devil won’t make me believe otherwise, because it was all his attempts to stop me anyway. My Lord Jesus, stepped in again and brought me through.

So I sit here, planning my day, and am compelled to say…
Thank You Father God, for protecting us from evil!
Thank You Jesus, for delivering us from the enemy!
Thank You Sweet Holy Spirit for guiding us back on the road again!
