Matthew 16:6-12 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”

But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread? Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?

How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?—but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

It seems that Facebook is fast becoming a place of sadness and frustration for me…

Mary and I will sit here surfing Facebook, and see young people in our friend’s lists or in the news. All too often we wonder where from they get these stupid notions and corrupted morality. While it isn’t just young adults but also older adults, we tend to see the larger younger generation being led astray by a minority of older misfits who never grew up.

They are told by the political, educational, marketing, entertainment, and way too many other forms of informational pieces of crap, what will fulfill their lives and make them happy.

"I just want to be a real boy..."

“I’m just being real…” “I am just being real to who I really am…” “I love reality shows…” You hear this being said over and over again, but in reality what they are doing is forsaking those who have loved and been real with them from birth, to follow after those who are no more real than green hair.

They are told that they don’t have to listen to family values if it doesn’t seem right to them. They are given pats on the back for conceiving the most freakish concepts, and told that it is their mind expanding. They are told that they can do what they want, not pay for it, and blame some innocent other if they can. They are told that their reality is the only reality, and that other people’s realities don’t exist because they can’t actually feel their pain.

They give themselves away like trash, believe that they are diamonds, and can’t see that they are being used by societies pimps. “If it feels good now then do it”, is the creed they have. All other creeds that they hold dear, only last as long as their appetites for more selfish desires get momentarily fulfilled. Nothing is to be honored or respected, and flaming others socially is acceptable as long as they are not the ones being flamed.

It is clear to anyone who has any life experience, and has chosen to live to regret and expose their mistakes as something to be avoided, that this generation of younger people is headed down a very destructive path. It is all too clear to those of us who actually care about our children, that these freaks who want to lead them down the path of selfishness and damnation, don’t give a rodent’s rump about them or the effects that their lies have on them.

I may sound like I am taking issue and am angry with these tools of demon influences, but do not assume that I have an anger issue. What I am dealing with is a righteousness anger that makes me want to stand up and yell, “WAKE UP AMERICA!!!” I am finding myself quickly entering into parental protective mode that wants to physically pull aside these young “brains filled with mush”, and ask them if they even have a clue.

As I see all of this happening, I am reminded of a book that I used to read as a kid.

Sit back and I will tell you a story…

Pinocchio is the story of this toymaker that made a puppet who was given life, and had the promise that if he would behave he would be a real boy.

Pinocchio is the story of this toymaker that made a puppet who was given life, and had the promise that if he would behave he would be a real boy.

Pinocchio was told to behave so that he would be a real boy. He wanted to, but for some reason he seemed to be drawn to take the quick and easy way out. One day as he was going to school, he was met with a Fox and a Cat. These two made promises to Pinocchio, that there were others ways to be real, and led him to leave his father and go off to this place where he could “do whatever he wanted.”

Pinocchio had no idea what lay ahead of him, and happily went off to this island that allowed little boys to do as they pleased.

When he arrived, he saw that he could smoke and drink (like an adult), he could be mean and selfish, he could be careless and drunk. It didn’t matter if he felt sick or guilty, there was always some distraction to take his mind off of the truth of where he was.

He was even warned by these little donkeys to get away, but he was having to much fun to pay them any mind.

Then all of a sudden, Pinocchio felt a little strange. He had these long ears  pop out of his head, and then this long tail. He tried to speak, but all that came out was this “hee-haw”, and eventually he became just what he had been behaving like… Pinocchio became a Jackass…

This sad little donkey... Why would he be so sad when he was in a place where he could do whatever he wanted?

This sad little donkey… Why would he be so sad when he was in a place where he could do whatever he wanted?

He had turned his back on his family, ignored their rules to do what he wanted to do, listened to strangers with false promises, looked for the easy way out, and after it was all said and done, he was a stuck little Jackass.

But, when his grieving Father heard what had happened, he was compelled to do what was necessary to rescue his lost child. When He finally finished what needed to be done, his son was returned back to the family.

It was when Pinocchio finally realized his mistakes, stopped being a Jackass, and said he was sorry, that he finally became the real boy that he wanted to be.

Pinocchio learned that when something is really important, you will let nothing take you away from it, and that is “being real.”

This story reminds me of another one.

This other story was written much longer ago, and it is about these two people in this garden.

It seems that these two were given everything that they ever wanted, and learned about life as they walked with their Father. But one day, this snake came in and offered them this “easy way to be like daddy”…

They turned their backs on their real family, and went off to a place to live like they wanted to live. They thought they were being real by defining themselves by their sins, but their Father saw that they were worth more than that.

So one day their Father did what was necessary to rescue his lost family, and He sent His Son Jesus to show them the way back home. Everyone who was willing to turn their backs on their sins and follow Jesus back to the family homestead, was saved and made part of the family again. They stopped defining themselves by the sins that made them into Jackasses, and started to live as who their Father said they were.

There are still some that want to be Jackasses, and say that there is more than one way back home. They like the lies that they were told, and reject the truth. They still want to live selfishly, say that they are “christians,” and still define themselves by their sins. They try to convince you with a lot of talking that it is ok to be a “gay-christian”, a “drunk for Jesus”, a “christian who is shacked up with someone, but we are getting married…”, or even a “christian who doesn’t believe the Words of Jesus”… but all I hear is, “hee-haw, hee-haw, hee-haw”

We are getting real close to the return of Jesus, and the church is a messy house. Instead of preparing for our Husband to come and get us, we are shacking up with new distractions and vices. The last thing that a christian needs to do in these last days, is entertain new vices that serve only to distract us from the truth.

We need to take a look now, and see if the oil has burned out of our lamps. The Holy Spirit is waiting to renew your lamp so that you will be a light for others.

I am ready to go home, and be with my family.

Father, thank You for doing what is necessary to rescue me from the stupidity of the flesh.

Jesus, thank You for taking me by the hand and delivering me from that snake.

Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me stay oiled up so that I will be ready for the return of my Real Love.
