My heart goes out to people like Meriam Yahya Ibrahim who was sentenced to death for being a Christian in the Sudan. I cannot imagine the idea of what she was sentenced to go through being true, but it is.

I have friends who are currently sharing the Gospel, in countries that are not “Gospel friendly.”

Unless you have been living in a cave, you might have noticed that anti-christian and anti-semitism is on the rise. It is reported that there is one Christian Martyr every 5 minutes.

I think the thing that gets me, is the lack of vocal anything (outrage, protest, opinion or prayer) from the  “christian community.”

Let me stop here and confess this one thing… I have a tendency to be a “Peter” when it comes to this. I will cut an ear off after I have turned my other cheek for you. I am the one who asks, “how did they allow themselves to become a slave without a fight?”

I understand that our fight is not agains’t people, but as the lord of all God has given me, I will protect those who have been placed under me. I will not force anyone to stay under my “protection”, and I will not allow anyone to try to make themselves a god over me either. I know where I stand as a follower of Jesus Christ, and I will not be manipulated or coerced into bowing at the world’s idols.

I am of the American mindset of, “give me liberty or give me death.” But…

Lately, my personal prayer has been, “what do You want me to do Lord?” The end is near, and Jesus is coming real soon. I can physically see that sin cannot stand under the weight of itself, and payment is coming due for those who have not accepted God’s payment plan through Jesus Christ. The physical earth is buckling under the out of control growth of the sin, that mankind has brought into it.

The real problem is not economics, government, pollution, climate change, or education… The real problem is sin, and that sin has run amuck.

We have kicked God out of our country, so His protection is lifted. The name of Jesus isn’t mentioned even in churches. We have tried to even remove the need for Jesus, by ignoring personal sin because “we don’t want to judge.” The average person will agree to love your neighbor, but they think that love is for their own benefit. To most people, love and sex mean the same thing. Excessiveness is condoned, unless it is excessive christianity.

So I ask God, what he would have me do in His Harvest Field.

I know the scripture says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.”

The Beatitudes of Jesus tell us in Matthew 5:1-13, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

I also know that Paul has said in scripture many times to pray for those who are doing the work of the ministry.

You see, God has given us a lot of provision and His rewards are great. He has specific times and places for us to work in, but He allows our own personalities. God has a plan for us, but allows us to have a free will. I know of times I was given a blessing because I was willing to do something that someone else wasn’t, and I have seen blessings that were meant for me, be handed to someone else who was obedient.

The old ways of ministering will change in these times. We will have to stop trying to fit into the world to minister to the world. We will be required to have a daily walk with the Holy Spirit, and we will have to move in His Power. The Word of God will have to be the words that we speak, and we will have to do so boldly. We will have no room to be popular, but we will have to be willing to die for our faith.

I see people doing this everyday, and they need my prayers. One day I might need those prayers for myself, and if I sew what I reap, I need to be supporting the work of others. Yeah, it is easier to nitpick their methods, but that is not what we were called to do.

Romans 14:4 – Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

I need the power of God to help me stand, and it takes all my energy to stand with Him. Why would I want to focus on bringing someone else down, when I could be sewing into my own life by building up the work of another believer?

One day in the very near future, we might all have to die for our faith.

You can call me a bigot or a fascist, but I want to live in a nation that is founded on Jesus Christ. I won’t discuss ideas that are not based in Scripture. I don’t support the legalizing of religions that are not Christian.

I don’t care if you are Catholic, Baptist, Assembly of God, or non denominational etc., but if you believe that Jesus is the Christ (Anointed, God in the flesh, Messiah, Redeemer, Deliver, Only way to Heaven), that He hung on the Cross to shed His blood for our sins, that He rose from the grave and ascended into Heaven, and will return soon, you are my brother.

If you think that you can claim to be my brother, but keep on sinning without remorse or repentance, and you try to get others to sin also, you are not my brother. If you want to tout other gods or “holy writings”, you are not to be accepted as a truthful person, but as a liar. If you think that the spoken truth of scripture is hate speech, that political correctness is to be tolerated, or that people should be “lovingly” kept comfortable in sin and not delivered from sin, you are also a liar and not my brother.

Give me a country where our freedoms are free in Jesus, in the God of The Holy Bible, and our laws are based on the spirit of God’s commands.

I long for the Kingdom of God to be establish in this world. Until then, we cannot neglect the work of the Harvest at hand. I must not stay in my comfort zone waiting for Jesus, while people are going to hell without Him.
