Faith & The Crisis Actor

Today I did a Google search for the term “crisis actor.”

I was talking to my mom recently, and made the comment that “every time there was a crisis, we loose a little bit of our freedom” in this country.

The powers of this world, love to use our emotional responces to a “crisis” to control us. If we are not careful, we will be led into bondage because of fear, anger or selfishness (to name a few).

Back to “crisis actor”…

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I have a point to make, so bare with me.

I do believe that we have a genuine crisis going on, but it isn’t what the world’s media would have you think. We are constantly bombarded with things that grab ahold of our senses. We are fed lies and misinformation on a daily basis, and there is a push to adopt new history about the world around us.

We are fed lies through music, movies, the news, friends, family and even (shock shock) the internet…

In essence, the hope of the world is that if lies can be told enough, then they will become the truth. If you don’t mind the lie, then you won’t mind using liars to testify to the “truth” of the lie. The problem is that a lie doesn’t mind telling more lies (even if they don’t add up when standing together), and a lie has no problem calling the truth “a liar”.

Jesus confronted this in John 8:44 when He said, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Jesus simply told us that it was the devil that authored lies.

You see, the world is the domain of the devil, and we cannot trust him.

1 John 2:15-17 says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

The world and its lies cannot stand, but the truth will stand forever.

The things of the flesh are led by the senses. We cannot always trust what we see, hear, or feel because those things can be easily manipulated. Jesus also warned us of this in John 20:27-29 when He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”  Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

To believe without seeing, is to wholeheartedly trust God’s Word without question.

If the Devil can get us into crisis mode and off of the Word of God, he will be able to control our actions. Faith is anything you believe enough to act upon, and if he can get you act upon his lies, then he has caused your faith to be in a lie.

Satan will lie about our family, finances, health and even our doctrine to get us to panic. If he can get us to panic, he can get us to put our faith into anything but God.

Romans 3:4 – Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.”

1 John 5:10 – He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

We are living in a world that loves lies. Any person who speaks the truth is called a hateful. Persecution is here for those who believe what God’s says.

The truth is that we must speak the truth. We cannot say we love others, if we refuse to tell them the truth.

Proverbs 29:24-25 –  Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing. The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

When we allow fear to dictate wether we speak the truth, we are just like a thief, because we rob those in sin or the chance for freedom through Jesus. When we speak the truth, we show love to sinners, and God has our backs.

The church has gotten this backwards and has allowed the world dictate how we should minister the Gospel. Can you imagine a drowning man trying to tell the lifeguard, how he should rescue him?

The world has no concept of what love is, because it has not accepted God’s love. 1 John 5:2 says, “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.” When we choose to live in sin, we are a liar if we say that we love God.

In who have we placed our faith? Why is it when a crisis hits, we want to say God did it to us to teach us a lesson? How is it that we can allow the world and its lies have any place to speak into our lives.

2 Corinthians 6:16-18 – And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

We have the mandate from God to separate ourselves from the lies of this world. We should not be so shocked to see that the world uses “crisis actors” to control people, because we know who their god is.

The One True God is who I serve. I did not make Him in my image, but I daily strive to make myself fit to who He is and do what He says. His Word is final, and if I didn’t speak it, I would be a liar.

I have heard it said that we should not wield it as a weapon to attack people. Why then does it say in Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”?

No we don’t wrestle against people, but when we use the word to free them, we must remember that they are still being led by their master. They will fight, cuss and spit until they believe God’s Word more than they do the devil’s lies. How will they know what to believe if someone doesn’t tell them?

Romans 10:14-17 – How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

James 2:14-19 – What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

There is balance in Romans 10:14-17 and James 2:14-19. You cannot preach and not live by what you are preaching, and you cannot do good while not telling of the Jesus that you are doing good for. One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit, is to keep us balanced. It is our job to stay in tuned to Him and not quench His leading and direction.

We must be led by the conviction that they need to be set free. We must not seek to take others from sin’s bondage and put them in bondage to our own scriptural manipulation. To manipulate scripture and stand in the way of another’s freedom in Christ, is to invite the wrath of God (see what Jesus did to the money changers?)  The Holy Spirit needs to be allowed to work, and we cannot allow our own desires to get in His way.

So we must separate ourselves, we must speak the truth of Scripture, we must be the light to the world, we must rejoice in persecution, and we must not take it personally because “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” ~ Jesus in John 15:18-19

Jesus simplified it like this in John 7:7, “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.”You see to live under God’s Word, is truly not burdensome. He carries the load.

The Holy Spirit once spoke to me this truth:

“If you strive to be at peace with man, you will never find it. If you strive to be at peace with God, you will find it and in God’s eyes you will be at peace with man (even if man never sees it)”

We must strive to be at peace with God, by speaking the truth that sets His lost children free. We must be living the Gospel as we preach it. We must be in constant submission to the leading of The Holy Spirit. In these last days we need to hold tight to the truth of God’s Word. When push comes to shove, these will be the things that save us from the hatred of this world and its master.
